who is tampa bay ray?
Is he an old blues musician? A rugged naturalist? A joyful bon vivant? He is a mystery wrapped in an enigma wrapped in a hoodie. Chuckle along with the adventures of Tampa Bay Ray.

i hate sports
I want to put my head through a wall right now. Everyone in my department is yammering endlessly about football today. Football! Christ, the season ended only a month ago, and these guys are already speculating and salivating about next season. Why can't I work with people who talk about Mike Patton instead of Peyton Manning? I hate sports with a passion.
Speaking of Mike Patton, I just bought the live DVD of his collaboration with Norwegian composer John Kaada. Do yourself two favors: stop reading my whining, and buy this DVD! Filmed in moody monochrome, the release documents a one-time-only performance at the Roskilde Festival in 2005. And damn, is this band tight! Check out this clip as well as others on YouTube.
Time to take an early lunch and do some deep-breathing meditation. Thanks for letting me vent.

screw the majors
This is why I'm glad that the major-label record industry is dying. I guarantee that this debacle is not an isolated incident. Pathetic. Thank you to Audient for pointing this one out.

breaking news
To all those evangelicals, fundamentalists, and Left Behind-readers, I have some bad news for you. The pope just announced that the Rapture already happened over seventy years ago, and you all missed it. The Rapture took place on July 2, 1937, and only one person in all of humanity was deemed worthy to be assumed into the heavens.
Her name was Amelia Earhart.
