electronic poetry magnet kits

Electronic Poetry Kits

Using the Morrissey kit, I came up with this:

Never heard how Caligula died--
dizzy, dreaded, drunken,
twice as whore-happy,
virtually worth two hundred lumps.

achtung zombie?

I was at a video store yesterday and saw a promo blurb on a video box for "the best of the Nazi zombie movies yet." I didn't even realize that such a genre existed. Are the movies about WWII-era Nazis that became zombies? I don't think that the fallout from Hiroshima and Nagasaki would have drifted that far west. Maybe Dr. Mengele was the German version of Herbert West from Re-Animator. Or do these movies focus on modern-day neo-Nazi zombies? Hmmm, neo-Nazi zombie sounds redundant, doesn't it?

I just Googled "nazi zombie movie" and found this interesting history of movie zombies. Turns out that in the 1940s there were many movies wherein Nazis attempted to control zombie armies to do their dirty work. I have a mental image now of one Nazi and three zombies seated around a card table playing Risk.

Are there any other subgenres of zombie movies that I should know about? Maybe ambient zombies--they only bother you if you pay attention to them. Oh, wait, those are mimes.

embrace the random xxvi

Here's an odd little site that randomly loops, bleeps, bloops, and drones, accompanied by primitive Atari-esque graphics of a red car traveling on a never-ending highway. Enjoy your drive.
