blasphemy, blaspheyou ii

I awoke this morning with a throbbing headache. So I quickly said a prayer to St. Joseph, the patron saint of chewable aspirin. Within the hour I was as good as gold, as right as rain. Thanks, St. Joseph!

dark secrets exposed

The cover of In the Court of the Crimson King is tattooed across my entire back, but it was done in lemon juice so you have to hold me up to a light bulb to see it.

wandering allowed

It's hard sometimes to know if I'm on the right path. But as long as I'm moving forward and enjoying the scenery, the path can't be very wrong.

one year already?

Today marks the first anniversary of lowercase lifestyle. Thank you to everyone who has perused and posted, chimed in and chatted, or simply lurked and then left.

In the past year I posted 93 times--that averages to less than twice a week. Blech. I promise to be less a slacker and more a yakker in the months ahead.

Expect more of the same, more of the different, and an indeterminate amount of the random.

I have nothing to say, and I am saying it.--John Cage

Sitelurkers of the world, unite and take over, hand it over.

There will be an advisory board to approve or deny cover versions, thus preventing sonic atrocities such as Bruce Dickinson's slaughter of All the Young Dudes.

(A tip of the crown to Kevin M. for the genesis of this royal decree)

but what does it mean?

A couple of nights ago, I dreamed that I was attending an outdoor music festival. Jimi Hendrix and Miles Davis were in the same band performing onstage. They did "The Wind Cries Mary" with Mel Brooks and Deborah Harry on backing vocals.
I suspect that my brain is doing drugs behind my back.

caution: crude, obscure humor below

A couple of years ago I was temping somewhere, and a co-worker asked me if I had ever seen the Disney movie Bedknobs and Broomsticks.

"No," I replied. "I was always too scared because I thought it was a documentary about women's prisons."

She didn't get it :(

shameless product placement

lowercase lifestyle uses these fine products at work and would be happy to endorse them for a small fee.
